With OS X El Capitan’s new views on ‘safety’, cookies are no longer shared between Safari and other applications. This can have an effect you might not expect. Even if you have logged in to your account in Safari, capturing a Readability page via the Clip to DEVONthink extension will not honor your choice of font and font size from your Readability account settings. We have today updated the extension for Retina displays and corrected an issue that prevents the current version 1.2.1 from automatically updating itself. “Alles neu macht der Mai,” Germans are saying. We do it already in April! We have just released maintenance updates for all three editions of DEVONthink as well as for DEVONnote. The update improves the reliability of synchronization, clipping with the Clip To DEVONthink browser extension as well as the bookmarklets, and many other parts of the apps. In the recent releases of Chrome Google has tightened the security for installed extensions. We have just updated our Chrome extension to work with the latest version of Chrome. Visit the Chrome Web Store to install the Clip to DEVONthink extension or use the Chrome extension preferences page to update your existing copy.

Just a quick note that our Clip to DEVONthink Safari extension is finally also available through the Safari Extension Gallery.

We have just updated the Clip to DEVONthink Safari extension and bookmarklet to version 1.1. The new version fixes a number of bugs, e.g. adding parts of the bookmarklet code when printing a web page as well as a bug preventing log-ins to password-protected web sites. If Safari does not offer you the update, please visit the Download Extras page and download the latest version.
