DEVONthink To Go 2.7.2

In the last few months we focused on getting DEVONthink 3 ready for prime-time and so it had become a bit quiet around DEVONthink To Go. Today, version 2.7.2 has passed Apple’s review.

Our maintenance release brings the sync mechanism on par with DEVONthink 3, makes its handling of indexed items consistent to the Mac, and brings back the sync status sheet. Change the stacking order of PDF annotations and, finally, view highlight annotations added with DEVONthink on the Mac. If you’re a Bookends user you can now link to items stored in your favorite references manager using the Bookends URL scheme.

In addition, we’ve improved the performance of list and grid views and fixed memory issues in the Files app integration. Especially groups containing many images load more reliably without the dreaded “Content unavailable” error. In the settings, DEVONthink To Go shows more options directly without having you navigate to additional screens — a visible change of many invisible ones that get the app ready for iOS 13.

Addendum: Version 2.7.3 fixes additional bugs including one introduced with 2.7.2.
