How to Clip in Microsoft Edge

While Microsoft Edge may not be as common on a Mac, we’ve had some inquiries about how to clip from it to DEVONthink. Here are two easy ways to capture web content from Edge.

While there is no specific browser extension for Microsoft Edge, you can install and use our bookmarklets. Go to our Handbooks and Extras section, then drag and drop them to the Favorites bar. Navigate to a site and tap the bookmarklet to capture in the desired format.

Secondly, you can install Chrome extensions in Edge. For quick installation, here is a link to find our Chrome extension: Clip to DEVONthink. As we have already written in another blog post, you may need to sign in to the Chrome Store with your Google account, otherwise you will not find our extension. Install it and answer the prompts you receive, then navigate to a site and tap our ammonite button to clip it.

No matter which of the two methods you choose, Edge will probably ask you for permission to open DEVONthink. We have no control over those messages.
