Today’s maintenance release for DEVONthink for Mac provides some needed fixes, as well as a few additions and improvements.
In Markdown documents you can now more easily create links to other documents using a new Link To context menu command. Another command helps you verify that all item links in the document are still valid. Item links can become invalid if the documents they represent are no longer available in any open database. In addition, the item link URL scheme lets you add a parameter to open the referenced item in the external application of choice for its file format.
Other enhancements include that Markdown documents better detect metadata and that rich text looks better in dark mode. The right-to-left writing direction is now better supported in editing and exports. German users receive tips and tricks inside the app in German. And, of course, we’ve also improved the overall reliability and performance with DEVONthink 3.8.5.
You can find a complete list of all improvements by choosing Help > Release Notes inside the application. We recommend this free update to all users of DEVONthink for Mac. Get it by using the application’s update function or from our Download page.
