DEVONthink is 20 Years Old

Coeur d’Alene, Idaho — DEVONtechnologies celebrates the 20th anniversary of its flagship product DEVONthink and gives customers up to 35% discount on all editions of DEVONthink in its online shop as well as DEVONthink To Go in the App Store.

In April 2002, the two founders of DEVONtechnologies released DEVONthink 1.0 to the Mac community as a tool for knowledge and information workers. The Personal Edition, as DEVONtechnologies called it, was soon joined by DEVONthink Pro, capable of more than one database. DEVONthink Pro Office brought OCR, email archiving, and an integrated web server. Since then it has seen two major upgrades and an uncountable number of free updates along the way.

In 2010, DEVONtechnologies added DEVONthink To Go for the iPhone and the then-new iPad. A modern synchronization handling multiple sync methods, from synchronizing over the local network to iCloud, Dropbox, and WebDAV, replaced the older, less capable sync system, and completed the ecosystem in 2016.

To celebrate DEVONthink’s 20th anniversary, DEVONtechnologies makes all three current editions of its flagship product available with exclusive discounts, ranging from 25% for the standard edition, to 30% for DEVONthink Pro, and 35% for DEVONthink Server. The discount is not only valid for new purchases, but can also be used for upgrades or for adding more seats to existing licenses. On the iOS side, the one-time purchase for DEVONthink To Go sells for 30% less during the promotion weekend.

This is an exciting time for us, wallowing in memories and remembering those who accompanied us over the years. Then turning our eyes back to where we are today and smiling at a prospering, lively community using our products every day for their research and writing, organizing and archiving. We want to say thank you to all our customers for being a part of it. And for those who might have a use case for DEVONthink but haven’t tried it yet, our little promotion makes it a maybe a bit easier to join us.
