Power user Daniel Wessel is using DEVONthink Pro Office for taming his information flood. And he blogged about how he uses it, about its strengths, but also about his wishes for improvements.

In short, at the moment I am highly satisfied by DEVONthink’s ability to handle my data, to collect my files and to support me in my creative work. […] Currently my view of DEVONthink is like the Enterprise in “Star Trek XI” diving up from the gas clouds of Titan. In his blog William J. Turkel writes about using ‘bots’ or ‘spiders’ to do the heavy-duty task of web searching for you:

Once you start collecting large numbers of digital sources by searching for them or using an information trapping strategy, you will find that you are often in the position of wanting to download a lot of files from a given site. Obviously you can click on the links one at a time to make local copies, but that loses one of the main advantages of working with computers–letting them do your work for you. Science writer Steven Berlin Johnson has been a DEVONthink user for many years now. This week he was interviewed by The Guardian and also mentioned DEVONthink as his creativity tool:

Mac user Boris Nienke has published a nice little video on his blog ‘nSonic’ where he shows how fast one gets rid of a 16-sheet paper document using the ScanSnap S1500M and DEVONthink Pro Office. On The Apple Press Philipp Eierund just published a very nice piece about The Mobile Mac Office, actually reviewing the combo of DEVONthink Pro Office and the Fujitsu ScanSnap S1300. He writes:
