OS X El Capitan adds some technologies for enhanced security and DEVONagent 3.9.3 adds the necessary support for it. We’ve fixed a few bugs related to El Capitan, too. That being not enough we’ve added three scripts to DEVONagent Pro that integrate it better with Safari. It also plays videos fullscreen now. (more)
OS X El Capitan is out and DEVONthink and DEVONnote 2.8.7 add some necessary changes for it. In addition to this we’ve overhauled the built-in synchronization both between Macs and from Mac to iOS. Importing or indexing files is up to twice as fast as in previous versions and DEVONthink 2.8.7 groups attachments and cross-links them when taking over notes from Evernote. (more)
Just after we updated DEVONthink for OS X El Capitan, here are now the maintenance updates for DEVONagent and DEVONsphere Express. They improve the compatibility to Apple’s latest and greatest operating system for the Mac. (more)
OS X El Capitan became just available as public beta. Right in time, DEVONthink and DEVONnote 2.8.6 bring important compatibility changes for it. In addition, DEVONthink 2.8.6 supports images referenced in Markdown documents. When importing Bookends references, DEVONthink imports their keywords too. PDF text annotations created by other applications keep their appearance. They are only restyled as soon as you edit them with DEVONthink. (more)
Today Apple released our DEVONthink To Go 1.5.8 update to the App Store. The maintenance update fixes issues with RTF and RTFD due to changes in iOS 8.3 as well as a few rare crashes. Update your copy from within the App Store app on your device or through iTunes.
E-Books, either as PDFs or ePub, establish themselves more and more for technical literature. Starting with version 2.8.5 DEVONthink indexes ePub and iBooks books natively and lets you convert them if you need to. Better annotations make working with PDFs more comfortable. And the faster and more secure web server lets you work better together with your coworkers stuck on Windows. (more)
Stack Overflow and GitHub are the places to be for developers on the web. DEVONagent 3.9.1 adds plugins for both and finds code and answers with precision. And if you’re less interested in developing and more in cooking — and who doesn’t like great food? — there’s a brand new recipe scanner. Get code snippets and top secret guacamole recipes delivered straight to the search window. You don’t even have to visit the web pages. (more)
DEVONthink and DEVONnote 2.8.4 are available. They let you move new documents into your databases more quickly. Save yourself a lot of now superfluous clicks by dragging files or folders to the application with the ⌘ Command modifier key pressed. It imports them and trashes their originals in one go. (more)
We have just updated all editions of DEVONagent. With version 3.9 we introduce a new Inspectors pane unifying several other panes. It gives you access to page properties, objects retrieved by scanners, and related pages. Properties include the author’s name, the page description, keywords, and more. (more)
Today our update to DEVONthink To Go 1.5.5 became available in the App Store. The new version fixes e.g. crashes connected to broken databases on the Mac or to exporting data to the iTunes document folders (emergency export). For example databases without a valid UUID (universally unique identifier) could crash DEVONthink To Go. Update your copy from within the App Store app on your device or through iTunes. (more)
