Right in time for the sunny weekend DEVONthink To Go 2.6.3 has passed Apple’s review and is now available on the App Store. With this maintenance release we’re concentrating to make the app faster and more reliable, especially the synchronization. Among many other improvements DEVONthink To Go no longers sleeps during very long sync runs and uses a less storage space when importing databases shallowly. (more)
This maintenance release brings DEVONthink and DEVONnote to version 2.10.1. We have focused much of our efforts on making syncing use less resources, increasing its reliability, and syncing frequent changes more quickly. We have improved indexing EPUB and Tinderbox files, and have better support for text clipping created with macOS Sierra and later. (more)
Last night our latest maintenance update for DEVONthink To Go has passed Apple’s review. Version 2.6.2 allows settings flags and labels using URL commands, removes path extensions from the name of files imported from, e.g., the Files app, and warns before adding a database with pending items to a new sync location. In addition the update fixes bugs and improves the overall stability and reliability. (more)
Sychronization via iCloud was the no. 1 feature request on our list. And here we go: DEVONthink 2.10 and DEVONthink To Go 2.6 let you keep your databases in sync via iCloud and without entering anything except for the optional encryption password. No messing around with sync store names, server addresses, or login credentials. Add the iCloud sync location, check off the databases you want to sync, done. It can’t be any easier. (more)
For the DEVONthink To Go 2.5.1 maintenance release we’ve thrown enhancements to the clipping workflow and to its new app security into the package. Clip to DEVONthink adds text retrieved for web pages to the comments of bookmarks and recognizes URLs provided as simple text. The security lock screen now covers also full-screen videos and popovers. (more)
Right in time for spring here in the US and in Europe we’ve done some traditional spring cleaning and prepared a few updates for you:
DEVONsphere Express 1.9.1 brings performance-related improvements and works better with the AFPS filesystem. It now also searches text in PDF annotations and forms, handles ePub books better, and improves finding related websites. Auto-completing search terms makes typing queries more comfortable. (more)
We know that you care about your privacy. But we also know that from time to time you hand your iPhone or iPad to friends or colleagues. Which means that they could, in an unattented moment, open DEVONthink To Go and have a look at your databases. With its new app-wide passcode version 2.5 makes sure that they can’t. (more)
While we’re preparing our next feature release for DEVONthink To Go, a maintainance update to version 2.4.4 has just passed Apple’s review. It enables editing existing PDF annotations without switching to edit mode and fixes issues related to rotating the device, swiping databases, the grid view, and the PDF annotation toolbar. (more)
We’ve just released an update for DEVONthink To Go to version 2.4.3. This time it’s all about synchronization. So we added the ability to synchronize when you switch to another app. This makes sure that the changes you’ve made are uploaded to your sync store. If you lock the device, iOS immediately removes access to all encrypted data on disk to protect it. In this case DEVONthink To Go stops the synchronization quietly and retries when you come back to it later. (more)
